It’s time of London marathon this weekend, so I thought it would be great to share some marathon recovery tips. Over the summer there are several running events taking place around Europe which are very popular. Taking on a challenge to run a marathon is a big commitment and preparation is key for a successful run. This is both a mental and physical challenge and especially if you are a first timer it can be emotional or even life changing experience.
It’s the beginning of the new year, so I thought it would be the best time to share some detox tips. January tends to be the most popular time for mini detox, especially after stuffing ourselves over the holidays. We all have our own tricks what we find works for our body, but these are some of the things I have used successfully. Depending of your preferences and lifestyle see what would be suitable for you and maybe give it a try.
Choosing good quality bath salts makes a big difference to your bathing experience. My favourite salts are Himalayan and Epsom salts. They are packed with minerals like potassium, magnesium and calcium and help the body to relax and recover from aches and pains. You can also use the salts as skin scrubs on the body when you mix them with vegetable oils. In this case make sure to choose fine grit salts. Big grits are perfect for bathing as they take longer to melt.
In this post i want to share some body care tips and how to look after yourself in a sedentary lifestyle. Humans lifestyle has changed tremendously in the past couple of hundred years or so. We used to grow or foods, walked more and spent more time outdoors. The traditional life of hunter gatherers are well and truly behind us. We don’t go to the forest or field to pick our foods, but have it conveniently delivered right on our doorstep. What we eat and how we live our lives is very different now than our grandparents lives.
We all love chocolate in some form, some like it mixed with nuts or fruits, some like light and sweeter, some dark and bitter. There is something for everyone. Chocolate makes a lovely desert, treat or even a skincare product. I love chocolate flavour with coffee, strawberries and mint. I also love the scent of chocolate in general. As we are celebrating World Chocolate Day this week, I thought it would be appropriate to write about it.
I wanted to share a few of my favourite recipe books with you to inspire you to try new things. Cooking doesn’t have to be time consuming, most of the time simple recipes are tasty and definitely more healthy than ready made meals. I hope you will enjoy them!
